Alan Walowitz and nearly 50 others were in attendance at the launch of his poetry collection The Story of the Milkman and Other Poems at the Dolphin 
Bookshop and Café at 299 Main Street in Port Washington, NY. , on Saturday 15th June.
Bookshop staff said it was the best attended book-event at their location in some time. It was standing room only. In addition to wine and snacks, the festivities began with a musical quiz – with prizes – followed by a reading from The Story of the Milkman and Other Poems.
Afterwards, there were questions and answers by the poet, book signings. Some attendees had never been to a poetry reading before.
